What we offer

Experiences

Half a day or several days, all of it led by people from the community.

The swamp and the birds

The wetland walk BICOWA is known for: papyrus paths, the birds that live in them, and the swamp read by someone who has known it all their life. Go at first light for the birding, or after dark for everything else.

Food, coffee and vanilla

Cook and eat with the community, follow coffee from farm to cup, walk the vanilla gardens, taste banana beer, gin and juice.

Our community

A walk shaped by the people who live here

Bigodi's guides share the landscape they know through conversation, observation and everyday stories. Come curious, ask questions and take your time.

The walks are organised and run by Bigodi residents, as Bigodi Community Walk — BICOWA.
